Description
Our client is a well-established, nationally recognized healthcare organization operating a 62-bed inpatient acute psychiatric facility in Aiken, SC. The facility delivers a full continuum of behavioral health services — crisis stabilization, short-term inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization, and adult IOP — serving seniors, adults, children, and adolescents. They are seeking a dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead day-to-day operations and drive sustainable growth.
What you'll own
- Full P&L accountability — budgeted financial objectives, revenue growth, bad debt management, and operating cost controls across staffing, supplies, and purchased services
- Operational management of clinical and non-clinical departments — Nursing, Admissions, Business Development, Finance, Clinical Services, and Regulatory Affairs
- Census building, referral network development, and strategic planning — including outpatient and ambulatory program expansion
- Physician and staff recruitment; medical staff coordination for new initiatives and service line development
- Commercial payor contract negotiation and compliance management
- Ensuring hospital quality metrics through sound clinical processes in compliance with Joint Commission and CMS accreditation requirements
- Monthly financial and operational reporting; active participation in corporate-wide strategic planning

Requirements
What we're looking for
- Currently serving as CEO or Administrator of a freestanding behavioral health or psychiatric facility — or Director/VP of a large, multi-unit psych department within an acute care hospital
- Master's degree required (healthcare administration, business, clinical discipline, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated track record of progressive career growth, census development, and financial performance
- Advanced knowledge of state and federal behavioral health regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
