BCOTB

Company Overview

Behavioral Consulting of Tampa Bay (BCOTB) has been serving children and families throughout the Tampa Bay area since 2003. Our mission is simple: to create a path forward for children with autism by providing the tools, support, and evidence-based care they need to succeed throughout their lives.

Through our clinic-based and school-based ABA therapy services, we focus on helping children build meaningful skills that increase independence, confidence, communication, social development, and overall quality of life. We believe that every child deserves individualized care, every family deserves a supportive partner, and every team member deserves a workplace where they can grow professionally and personally.

What sets BCOTB apart is our commitment to ethical care, clinical excellence, family advocacy, and a culture that puts people first. Whether we are supporting a learner, collaborating with a family, advocating with insurance companies, or investing in the development of our team, our goal remains the same: making a lasting difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.

Core Focus:

Evidence-based ABA therapy
Family-centered support
Ethical clinical practices
Professional growth and development
Advocacy for children and families
Creating a positive and supportive workplace culture

Company History

Behavioral Consulting of Tampa Bay (BCOTB) was founded in 2003 by our President and Founder, Kelley Prince, M.A., BCBA, whose journey in the field of behavior analysis began in 1998 while providing behavioral therapy services to a child with autism. Through that experience, she witnessed firsthand the life-changing impact that Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) could have on children and their families. Inspired by the progress she saw and the opportunities to make a meaningful difference, she pursued advanced studies in behavior analysis at the University of South Florida, earning her master's degree in 2005.

While still attending graduate school, she recognized a growing need for quality ABA services in the Tampa Bay area and established BCOTB in 2003. At the time, ABA therapy providers were limited throughout the region, and BCOTB quickly became one of the area's pioneering organizations dedicated to serving children with autism and their families.

BCOTB initially provided home-based services throughout the Tampa Bay community. As demand for services continued to grow, the organization opened its first clinic location in Tampa in 2005, creating a dedicated environment where children could receive intensive, evidence-based therapy and families could access additional support.

Committed to expanding access to care, BCOTB opened its first satellite clinic in Wesley Chapel in 2009. The location experienced significant growth and later relocated to a larger facility to better serve families throughout Wesley Chapel, New Tampa, New Port Richey, and surrounding communities.

The organization's next phase of growth came in 2013 with the opening of its Brandon clinic. Strategically located to serve families throughout Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, Lakeland, and MacDill Air Force Base, the clinic further expanded BCOTB's ability to provide high-quality ABA services across the region.

In 2018, BCOTB opened its Carrollwood clinic on North Dale Mabry Highway. As the organization continued to grow, Carrollwood became the company's flagship location and administrative headquarters, supporting both clinical operations and organizational leadership.

Growth continued in 2023 with the opening of the Lutz clinic, extending services to families in Lutz, Land O' Lakes, New Tampa, New Port Richey, and neighboring communities. Most recently, BCOTB expanded further with the addition of its Riverview location, allowing the organization to serve even more children and families throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Today, BCOTB operates five clinics across Tampa Bay and remains dedicated to its founding mission: creating a path forward for children with autism by providing the tools, support, and evidence-based care they need to succeed. While the organization has grown significantly since its founding, its success continues to be driven by the same principles that guided its beginning—clinical excellence, ethical care, strong operational leadership, an exceptional therapy team, and the trust of the families it serves.

More than two decades after opening its doors, BCOTB remains committed to helping children reach their fullest potential while supporting families every step of the way.
