Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Community Health Care in Washington
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Community Health Care in Washington
Description
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Washington | Full-Time (4/10 Schedule)
Are you a seasoned clinician who finds fulfillment in the "hard" cases? Do you believe that the most vulnerable members of our society-those caught in the revolving door of the justice system-deserve the highest standard of psychiatric care?
The Mission: Closing the Gap
You won't just be "seeing patients"-you will be building a clinical bridge. You will manage high-acuity individuals transitioning from city and county jails back into the community. By providing stable medication management, forensic diversion, and integrated "physical-psych" triage, you ensure that medical crises don't derail psychiatric progress.
Practice Highlights: Quality Over Quantity
We have designed this role to protect your license and your work-life balance. We prioritize clinical depth over volume.
The 4/10 Model: Enjoy a permanent 4-day work week with no call, no weekends, and no after-hours requirements.
Deliberate Scheduling: 90-minute new evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups. You will see only 12-15 patients per day.
Field Engagement: Partner with forensic teams for "warm hand-offs" in jails and community settings-meeting patients where they are to build essential rapport.
Strict Boundaries: Our Medical Director manages crisis calls, ensuring your time off is truly yours.
The Gateway to the Olympics
Nestled between the snow-capped peaks of the Olympic National Park and the deep blue waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Port Angeles offers a lifestyle defined by the outdoors.
Adventure at Your Doorstep: Use your $400 annual wellness reimbursement for new hiking boots or a National Park pass. You are minutes away from world-class hiking, kayaking, and Hurricane Ridge.
Community Connection: Experience the charm of a coastal town with a low cost of living compared to Seattle, while being just a ferry ride away from Victoria, B.C.
Safety & Security: We even provide a Life Flight membership for all staff, ensuring your family has peace of mind in our beautiful rural setting.
Financials & Comprehensive Benefits
We offer a high-guaranteed base to ensure you can focus entirely on quality of care, not productivity metrics.
Base Salary: $150,000 - $175,000+
Retirement: Automatic 5% employer contribution to your 403(b) after 6 months-no employee match required.
Student Loan Support: $150/month direct payment toward loans, plus eligibility for state/federal repayment programs.
Health & HSA: The organization covers 90% of medical premiums. We also deposit ~$1,500 annually into your HSA.
Generous PTO: 20 days vacation, 7 hours/month sick leave, and 14 paid holidays.
Professional Growth: $1,000 CME allowance + 3 days paid leave; all licensing fees covered by the organization.
