Hiring for an Executive Director for Cornell Behavioral Health . Cornell Behavioral Health provides a full continuum of care — from intensive outpatient counseling and partial hospitalization to inpatient services, crisis stabilization, and assessments. Our 82-bed state-of-the-art facility offers an innovative, welcoming environment that promotes healing and recovery for patients of all ages: children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
As the only hospital in Sarasota County serving as a behavioral health safety-net provider, SMH plays a vital role in the community.
We are seeking an Executive Director of Behavioral Health to:
Lead operational and fiscal responsibilities across the health system
Serve as a role model and guide a multidisciplinary team
Build strong internal and community partnerships
Make a direct impact on patient care and outcomes

Required Qualifications
- Require Master's degree in relevant health care management discipline. - Require seven (7) years of progressive management experience and/or facility administration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer certification by relevant program or professional organization (e.g., Association of Mental Health Administrators). - Prefer demonstrated organizational and time management skills to maximize productivity and outcomes. - Prefer ability to provide leadership and mentoring by guiding individuals and groups towards desired outcomes, setting performance standards and delivering quality services. - Prefer demonstrated oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically.
