JOB SPECIFICS
The Pediatric Neuropsychologist is a specialist applying knowledge of brain anatomy, physiology, and pattern in order to assess brain function in medical patients. This specialized consultant may see inpatients and outpatients.
Their assessment of brain function is used in collaboration with other medical data to make diagnoses (e.g., dementia, developmental delay).
The Neuropsychologist also specializes in using data analysis to make recommendations regarding educational services/supports, decision-making capacity, discharge environment, supervision needs, patient/family education, and return to school/work.
The Neuropsychologist performs pre-surgical cognitive and psychosocial assessments in patients awaiting epilepsy surgery, deep brain stimulation, cochlear implant and other Neurologic interventions.
OSF supports both Adult Neuropsychology and a Pediatric Neuropsychology Departments: This opportunity in Pediatric Neuropsychology: Works with patients from birth to 18 years from a variety of specialty clinics (e.g., Congenital Heart Clinic, Sickle Cell, Pediatric epilepsy surgery program, Hematology/Oncology Department, etc.), as well as general medical populations across all outpatient hospital services.
Adult Neuropsychology: Works with patients aged 14 years and over from a variety of specialty clinics (e.g., Movement Disorder Center, Dementia Clinic, Multiple Sclerosis Clinic, Headache Clinic) as well as general medical populations across all hospital services.

Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $47.68- $56.09 hr. This is a salaried position.Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Doctorate Specific Majors: Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology from an APA/CPA-approved training program Licenses/Certifications: PSY-Psychologist Other Licenses/Certifications: Board Certified or eligible in Neuropsychology, or a pending application of licensure if in the probationary period of employment Experience: Have completed a two-year fellowship program in Neuropsychology Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Pediatric neuropsychology position: Prefer candidates with experience in conducting evaluations with preschool-age through older adolescent populations within a medical setting. Expertise evaluating and monitoring pediatric hematology/oncology patients is preferred. Experience with developmental evaluations of infants and toddlers and/or presurgical candidacy evaluations is a plus. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
