Job Title: Director of Illness in Recovery Behavioral Healthcare Services
Supervisor: CEO
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Director shall organize and coordinate clinic activities. The Program Director reports directly to the Medical Director to implement the flow and organization of clinical work internally and outside entities. The Program Director reviews and evaluates the program, procedures, practices, and policies, guides the development of improved services, establishes staffing patterns, coordinates staff scheduling, and maintains the quality and flow of work. The Program Director is responsible for the preparation of statistics and for overseeing the maintenance of patients’ charts and other records and reports, is responsible for the purchase of program materials when needed, and prepares and manages a budget in coordination with other administrative staff. Meets regularly with the team to achieve coordination, problem-solving, and implementation of improved methods, supervises all supervisory personnel, prepares and/or contributes to employee evaluations, participates in the selection of applicants for vacant positions and orients new employees, and schedules staff vacations as well as being responsible for the overall day-to-day clinical program operations.
Participates in agency quality assurance reviews Monitors staff treatment interventions and compliance with approved techniques Identifies problems and deficiencies Defines issues and recommends positions Cooperates with governmental regulatory audits Determines training needs and provides on-the-job training Monitors and ensures adherence to policy and procedures Recommends research projects and participates in grant applications as directed Reviews recovery plan with the Medical Director Participates in senior-level staff meetings Monitors team meetings Conducts therapy for selected and referred patients (no more than 10) Completes performance evaluations Approves requests for time off Monitors staff’s time and attendance On-call for emergencies Other responsibilities as directed
Qualifcations: Demonstrated managerial capabilities in a behavioral healthcare setting, including expertise in program planning; chemical dependency treatment, fiscal management; human resource management; community and governmental relations; clinical qualifications as defined below as a psychologist; social worker; CASAC, rehabilitation counselor, registered professional nurse. Must have a minimum of three years of supervisoty experience working in an OASAS licensed setting. Knowledge of Cultural Competency standards, experience with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
