Licensed Psychologist — Two Open Positions
Come Build Your Career with Us
We are looking for two compassionate, skilled psychologists to join the New England Center for OCD and Anxiety (NECOA) — a well-established, nurturing group of clinical centers with locations in New England, New York City, Los Angeles, and Ireland. For nearly a decade, NECOA has been a recognized leader in OCD, anxiety, and related disorders, distinguished by our commitment to delivering excellent, effective, data-driven, evidence-based care that is thoughtfully tailored to every child, teen, adult, and family we serve. Come build your career with us!
Position 1 — Boston Center: Offices in Cambridge and Melrose, MA
Position 2 — South Shore Center: Offices in Norwell and Hanover, MA
Why Work at NECOA? NECOA offers a rare opportunity to join a nationally recognized, mission-driven practice that is genuinely dedicated to excellence in evidence-based care for OCD, anxiety, and related conditions. Clinicians benefit from a warm, collegial, and inclusive team culture that values diversity and actively supports professional growth through weekly individual and group supervision. The flexible, fee-for-service model allows you to build a caseload that works for your life, while the multidisciplinary team — including home coaches and behavior specialists — means you're never working in isolation. With several locations across the U.S. and Ireland, and a reputation as a leader in the field, NECOA is a place where you can deepen your clinical expertise, pursue meaningful work, and build a long-term career you're proud of. We also offer a competitive compensation/benefits package commensurate with experience.
Why Cambridge and the Boston Area? Cambridge and the greater Boston area are among the most intellectually and culturally vibrant places in the country, home to world-class universities, museums, restaurants, and a thriving arts scene. For clinicians, the area offers unparalleled professional networking opportunities, access to leading research institutions, and a large, diverse client population. Public transit makes it easy to get around without a car, and the city's many walkable neighborhoods — from Harvard Square to Somerville to Melrose — offer a wide range of living options to suit different lifestyles and budgets.
Why the South Shore? The South Shore of Massachusetts offers a wonderful quality of life for those who want to be close to nature without sacrificing convenience. Norwell and Hanover are charming, walkable towns with excellent schools, a strong sense of community, and easy access to beautiful coastal spots like Scituate, Duxbury, and Plymouth. The area is far enough from the city to feel genuinely relaxed, yet close enough to Boston via Route 3 or commuter rail to enjoy everything the city has to offer on your own terms. Housing tends to be more spacious and affordable than urban neighborhoods, making it an especially attractive option for those looking to put down roots.
The ideal candidates are licensed psychologists (PhD or PsyD) in MA with experience treating OCD or anxiety using evidence-based methods such as ERP, ACT, HRT, or PE. We especially encourage applications from psychologists of color, LGBTQ+ psychologists, and those fluent in languages other than English.
