- Junior Engineering Psychologist
Description
Research and Engineering Development LLC is seeking a Junior Engineering Psychologist to support the E-130J program at NAWCAD Patuxent River. This position supports Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Human Systems Integration (HSI) efforts within a DoD aviation test and engineering environment.
Responsibilities
--Support engineering and test activities focused on Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design and evaluation
--Assist with analysis, design, and testing of aircraft systems with emphasis on human performance, usability, and ergonomics
--Support basic and applied research related to human interaction with aviation systems
--Assist senior engineers and psychologists with test planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting
--Participate in identifying and recommending improvements to systems, tools, and test techniques
Requirements
Required Qualifications
--Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Factors, Ergonomics, or related scientific/engineering field
--Experience supporting technical or engineering tasks under guidance of senior staff
--Ability to work in a collaborative DoD/NAVAIR engineering environment
--Active Secret Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications
--1 to 2 years of NAVAIR / NAWCAD experience
--Exposure to HSI, HMI, aviation systems, or test & evaluation
--Familiarity with military or government engineering programs
