- Clinical Director BCBA for Preschool Group ABA Clinic
Description
We are a growing center-based ABA clinic in Bellingham focused on high-quality group Applied Behavior Analysis services for preschool-aged children. We are seeking an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is (or eligible to become) a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Washington State to join us as Clinical Director.
This is an excellent opportunity for a BCBA who wants predictable daytime hours, strong work-life balance, no minimum billable hour requirements, and the ability to focus purely on quality clinical work and leadership. We handle all billing in our group setting — you simply show up and deliver excellent services.
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday (~27.5 hours/week)
Opportunity for additional paid hours developing an afternoon program for pre-K & Kindergarten students, or by expanding into daycare settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct ABA services in our preschool group setting
- Oversee clinical operations and supervise CBTs and other staff
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for insurance authorization
- Deliver parent training and family support
- Manage client onboarding and ongoing progress monitoring
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks, including managing the company phone and clinic communications
- Ensure high-quality, ethical ABA services in compliance with BACB, Washington State, and insurance standards
- Opportunity to design and lead an afternoon program for pre-K and Kindergarten clients or expand into daycare settings (additional compensated hours available)
What We Offer:
- Competitive W-2 hourly pay: $62–$68 per hour
- Simple IRA with 3% employer match
- Paid sick leave (accrues at 1 hour per 40 hours worked)
- Predictable part-time daytime schedule with no billable hour pressure
- Opportunity for additional paid hours if desired
- Autonomy in a small, supportive clinic environment
- Focus on quality care rather than corporate metrics or billing targets
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Active BCBA certification in good standing
- Washington LBA licensure (or eligibility and willingness to obtain promptly)
- Minimum 2+ years post-certification BCBA experience, with strong preference for staff supervision, treatment planning/insurance authorization, and preschool or group ABA settings
- Experience providing direct services to young children
- Solid leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for mentoring staff and supporting families
This role combines direct clinical work with true director-level responsibilities in a low-stress, daytime-focused environment. It’s ideal for a BCBA who wants to lead and grow a program without the burnout common in high-volume or full-time roles.
